Tender white stems. Cold hardy.
 
Planting instructions- Tear pot apart and tap to remove soil and release the leeks to plant out individually at 10-15cm spacings.
 
Plant into rich and well-draining soil, in full sun.
Leeks will do best planted in Autumn, Winter and early Spring.
 
As the leeks grow, mound soil around the base of the plants to blanch the stems and keep them tender. Young plants may be damaged by heavy frosts.
 
Water well for the first few days after planting, and then as needed. Plants will require more water during dry periods.
