Productive year round, cut and come again. Usually goes to seed in it's second year. 
 
Plant into rich and well-draining soil, in semi-shade to full sun.
 Beets are easy to grow and will do best planted in Spring and Autumn. 
 
Young plants can be damaged by frosts in winter and bolt in summer heat.
 
Water well for the first few days after planting, and then as needed. Plants will require more water during dry periods.
